Discover the unseen world of the dark night in a fascinating guided bat tour right in the heart of Timișoara. Meet us on 1 August at 21:00 at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in the Central Park, and we'll go together along the banks of the Bega river, accompanied by special ultrasound detection devices. You will learn how to recognise local bat species and better understand their essential role in maintaining the balance of urban ecosystems.
The tour is guided by Ana Stamatescu, dedicated volunteer and initiator of the Bats Caravan - an educational adventure that brings us closer to nature through curiosity and empathy. The event is part of CULMEA, the first environmental film and education festival for children, which will debut in November 2025.
