We invite you to explore an exhibition that brings face to face two visual and affective archives that speak, each in its own way, about the way we live and understand culture: a selection of books awarded in the competition ‘The most beautiful books in Romania’ and a series of fragments from the BETA editions - Timisoara Biennial of Architecture.
On the one hand, you will discover a publishing experiment that, for eight editions, has encouraged graphic innovation and built bridges between authors, publishers, printers and readers. On the other, you'll step into the world of a biennial that, over five editions, has celebrated architecture as a living, constantly changing process - a way of understanding the city and the community.
Two distinct stories, but they come together in a common thread: design as inhabited space - whether we're talking about a book or a city. The exhibition functions as a visual and sensory essay on how we inhabit objects and ideas, how we read buildings and pages alike.
You'll be able to participate in informal discussions with local guests, and the opening will be accompanied by the launch of ARTA magazine #68-69. The event is part of the Mini Library Show project, hosted by HEI - House of European Institutes and Fundația9 @ Vila Mal, and is complemented by ‘Atâta s-a putut’, a group exhibition about mistakes - from personal to systemic, in science, justice or ecology.
Let's rediscover together the beauty of imperfect forms and the power of well constructed stories -
