Starting today, Timișoara is celebrating. Between July 31 and August 3, the city is hosting over 200 free events, organized at more than 30 locations, ranging from major concerts in the city center to performances, exhibitions, sports activities, and cultural experiences in neighborhoods and community spaces.

If you haven't made your plans for the next four days yet, here's the most important information you need to fully enjoy Timișoara City Celebration and all the best the city has to offer.

Three evenings of concerts on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard

The main stage at Civic Park and I.C. Brătianu Boulevard brings together international, national, and local artists in a program that celebrates the city’s musical diversity and spirit.

For the first time ever in Timișoara, the audience will be able to see Beth Hart and The Script perform live, alongside Marija Šerifović, Irina Rimes, Satoshi, Dora Gaitanovici, Alexandra Căpitănescu, JazzyBIT, the Timișul Ensemble, and special guests: Monica Anghel, Nico, Daniel Iordăchioaie, Andreea Voica, Alexandru Brădățan, Aurora, and Săndel Mihai.

Hydration stations with free drinking water

For the attendees' well-being, hydration stations with free drinking water have been set up in the main event area and will be available throughout the program at Civic Park and I.C. Brătianu Park.

We encourage participants to bring reusable containers and to take advantage of these stations to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Local Creativity Takes the Stage: Timișoara City Celebration Showcases the City’s Music and Creative Scene

Timișoara City Celebration spotlights the local music and creative scene, bringing together in Civic Park and in I.C. Brătianu Park some of the city’s most representative festivals, organizations, and cultural communities. Psihodrom, Muzicon Hub, Time to Rock by FITT, CODRU, Guilty Corner, Flight, Embargo Hub and JAZZx will offer, over the course of three days, concerts, showcases, and experiences that reflect the diversity of Timișoara’s independent scene. More than just a program of events, these spaces in the two parks serve as a promotional platform for local artists and an invitation to discover the creative energy that defines Timișoara.

Public Transportation with Extended Hours

During the event, Timișoara Public Transportation Company—the event’s communications and urban mobility partner—is expanding its public transportation schedule. From July 31 to August 3, after 12:00 a.m., additional trips will run on lines 1, 2, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, 33, 40, E1, E2, E3, and E7, so that participants can get home safely.

The city becomes a stage

Timișoara City Celebration isn’t just about the main stage. The program takes place at over 30 venues throughout the city, where cultural organizations, artists, and local communities are hosting exhibitions, workshops, tours, performances, sports activities, gatherings, and concerts.

Din Cetate în Fabric, Kuncz, Braytim, Zona Uszoda și multe alte cartiere, orașul te invită să îl descoperi pas cu pas.

The schedule of events taking place throughout the city is available here.

A more accessible event

Timișoara Day continues to develop measures that facilitate the participation of as diverse an audience as possible.

The concerts by Beth Hart, The Script, Irina Rimes, and Alexandra Căpitănescu on the main stage will feature Romanian Sign Language interpretation, so that people with hearing impairments can watch and enjoy the concerts in the best possible conditions.

Detailed information about the accommodations for neurodivergent individuals and other accessibility measures is available here.

Meraviglia transforms Victoriei Square into a spectacular stage

This weekend, Victoriei Square will host the Meraviglia show, one of the most spectacular highlights of the Timișoara Day program.

The show combines aerial acrobatics, lighting, music, and visual effects into an experience that transforms one of the city’s most iconic venues into an open-air stage and promises to bring together audiences of all ages.

One city. A thousand ways to experience it.

Timișoara City Celebration is an invitation to rediscover the city through music, culture, sports, and community. Over the course of four days, Timișoara showcases its local artists, organizations, and initiatives, alongside guests from Romania and abroad, in a program designed for the entire community.

The “Timișoara Day | Timișoara City Celebration” event is funded by the Timișoara City Hall and coordinated and co-organized by the Project Center and the House of Culture.
