Timișoara City Celebration continues to unveil the lineup for the 2026 edition and announces a new wave of artists who will take the stage at the event on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard. From one of the most acclaimed voices of the Balkans, hailing from the former Yugoslavia, to established artists of the Romanian music scene and representatives of authentic folklore, the newly confirmed artists round out a program built around this year’s theme, “Diversity.”
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, the audience on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard will be treated to a memorable concert featuring Marija Šerifović, one of the most prominent voices from the former Yugoslavia and an established and acclaimed artist in Southeast Europe. Winner of the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, with an impressive career in the region, Marija Šerifović is known for her intense performances and the special connection she builds with the audience at every concert.
The program for the evening of Sunday, August 2, will also feature recitals by some of the most beloved artists in Romanian pop music: Monica Anghel, Nico, and Daniel Iordăchioaie, who will take the stage alongside the Timișul Ensemble and the following folk music performers: Andreea Voica, Alexandru Brădățan, Aurora, and Săndel Mihai. The Timișul Ensemble, the most representative folk ensemble in western Romania, will present a program of dances and artistic performances that celebrate the region’s cultural identity and diversity, contributing to the preservation of its authentic musical heritage.
With this new wave of artists, Timișoara City Celebration once again reaffirms its profile as an event that brings together diverse audiences in a shared space of celebration and offers cultural experiences for all generations, ranging from international concerts to local traditions and authentic expressions of cultural heritage. The central message of the 2026 edition of “Timișoara City Celebration”— “One City. A Thousand Ways to Experience It. Diversity”—reflects the variety of experiences the program will offer and invites each participant to discover their own way of exploring and celebrating Timișoara. The event program is currently being updated.
The “Timișoara City Celebration” event is funded by the City of Timișoara and coordinated and co-organized by the Center for Projec and the House of Culture.
