Psihodrom at Timișoara City Celebration: Three days of audiovisual experiences, electronic music, and interactive art

Psihodrom is joining the Timișoara City Celebration 2026 program and is offering visitors a weekend dedicated to electronic music, audiovisual experimentation, and digital art. From July 31 to August 2, the Timișoara-based collective will transform its space in Civic Park into a meeting place for sound, image, technology, and artistic exploration. Founded in Timișoara in 2015, Psihodrom brings together graphic designers, web explorers, visual artists, and music producers, offering them a platform to express and promote unconventional audiovisual experiences. Over time, the projects developed under the Psihodrom umbrella have brought together diverse creative communities and explored new forms of dialogue between music, art, and technology. The program prepared for Timișoara Day includes DJ sets, concerts, live A/V performances, and an installation that invites the public to become an interactive part of the artistic experience.

Among the program’s highlights is the interactive installation “Glimpses of Time,” which transforms participants’ movements into visual compositions generated in real time. Using a slit-scan algorithm, the installation creates surreal images in which bodies, colors, and time are continuously reinterpreted, transforming the viewer into an active participant in the artistic process. Through its selection of artists and proposed formats, Psihodrom brings to Timișoara City Celebration one of the expressions of the contemporary cultural scene that contributes to the city’s creative diversity.

Between July 31 and August 3, 2026, Timișoara City Celebration transforms the city into a grand celebration of community, culture, and urban experiences. The theme of this year’s edition is “Diversity,” and the central message— “One city. A thousand ways to experience it. Diversity.”—invites the public to discover Timișoara through different perspectives, communities, and experiences. In this context, the event continues to serve as a platform dedicated to promoting major festivals and cultural organizations that contribute to the city’s creative identity. Admission to all events in the program is free. The event program is currently being updated.

The “Timișoara Day” event is funded by the City of Timișoara and coordinated and co-organized by the Center for Projects and the House of Culture.
