CODRU, the festival that plants trees, brings experiences for children, music, and activities that foster a love of nature to Timișoara City Celebration

CODRU is joining the Timișoara City Celebration 2026 program with three days of activities for children and families, interactive workshops, and musical performances that reflect the community values built around the concept.

Now in its sixth edition, CODRU—the festival that plants—brings together music, art, nature, and the community in an experience that continues beyond the festival days. For every ticket purchased at the festival, a tree is planted, and throughout the year, CODRU develops projects focused on urban regeneration, education, volunteerism, and civic engagement. Since 2019, the CODRU community has been growing through concrete actions and through people who choose to contribute to positive change in the city. On Timișoara City Celebration, CODRU offers a program that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through experiences accessible to all ages.

A central feature of the program is the interactive children’s area, which features oversized games, sustainable workshops, exploration activities, and a potting workshop. Through play and participation, children are invited to discover themes related to nature, collaboration, and environmental responsibility. The program is rounded out by DJ workshops for children and musical performances by Mario Șandru, Denis Predoi, and DJRT, who bring energy and interaction in a format accessible to the whole family. Through its presence at Timișoara Day, CODRU highlights the values that have underpinned the development of its community since 2019: engagement, education, care for nature, and the belief that meaningful change is built together.

Between July 31 and August 3, 2026, Timișoara City Celebration transforms the city into a grand celebration of community, culture, and urban experiences. The theme of this year’s edition is “Diversity,” and the central message— “One city. A thousand ways to experience it. Diversity.”—invites the public to discover Timișoara through different perspectives, communities, and experiences. In this context, the event continues to serve as a platform dedicated to promoting major festivals and cultural organizations that contribute to the city’s creative identity. Admission to all events in the program is free.

The “Timișoara City Celebration” event is funded by the City of Timișoara and coordinated and co-organized by the Center for Projects and the House of Culture.
